Skosana, Zondi

Zondi Skosana (Born: 14th February 1975) is a young laureate artist who presents his whole raison d´etre with his masterly use of colours and his dramatic compositions. He portrays his culture, his rural background, his despair mirrored against an empty background, his childhood memories as well as his social consciousness. All his works are pervaded by dreamlike qualities.
Zondi is a central figure in Pretoria´s contemporary art scene. He has participated in numerous exhibitions around Pretoria, has close links with Pretoria´s Association of Arts, lectures at Technikon Pretoria and takes part in various community projects.
