Ruben, Dante

Born: 1962 Cape Town
An accomplished landscape artist. Hermanus

with its idyllic, almost surreal beauty, its huge towering mountains and the beautiful Walker

Bay is the home and inspiration of artist Dante Ruben. Her work is striking and her use of colour and bold brushstrokes attracts one to her paintings. Subjects range from beautiful still life, portrait studies, figure works as well as bright colourful landscapes.

Studies:Tutored by artist Don Benzien in the late 1980s and early 1990s, also studied with artist Hennie Niemann Senior, regarding him as her mentor. Influenced by many styles through the years.

Exhibitions: As from the year 2000 she had several exhibitions in Cape Town, Bloemfontein and Pretoria and her work is having success locally and internationally.

Represented:Hermanus Gallery (2009), Volksblad Kunstefees, Portchefstroom Kunstefees, Walker Bay Art Gallery (Hermanus), Ferreira Art Gallery (Gauteng), KKK Kunstefees, Salzmann Kuns Gallery (Bloemfontein) and many more.
