Alison was born in Cape Town, and received

a Diploma in Graphic Design from the Ruth

Prowse College of Art. She has worked for advertising agencies in South Africa and

overseas, and is an accomplished book

illustrator.

She has travelled extensively to Britain,

Europe, Thailand, Tunisia, India and the

Greek Islands, always maintaining

constant flow of paintings. Alison is a

self-taught professional oil-painter and

was awarded the 'Moyra Broom" Trophy

for best oil painting by the South African 

Society of Artists as well as being selected

to exhibit work at the annual Vuleka' Art

Exhibition.

Alison is featured in the international German/English book by Christina Blum

entitled Kapkunst Cape Art - 12 portraits

of South African artists.

Her work has sold internationally and

she now lives in Bot River, near Hermanus.
