Nhlengetwa,  Jabulane Sam
Born:1955 Payneville, Springs, Transvaal

A painter, graphic artist and sculptor of urban life, portraits, figures, still life and abstract pieces. Works in oil, acrylic, watercolour, pencil, charcoal, various graphic media and clay,

also creates collages.

Studies: 1976 under Bill Ainslie; 1977-78 Rorke’s Drift Art Centre, under  Jules van de Vijver; 1977 and Ada van der Vijver, gaining an Art Diploma.

Profile: A set designer and graphic artist for the SABC. Teaches art privately in KwaThema, Transvaal.

Exhibitions: He has participated in many group exhibitions from 1975 in SA, the USA, France and West Germany; 1985 England, solo exhibition; 1987 FUBA Gallery, Johannesburg, exhibition; 1988 Johannesburg Art Gallery,

Vita Art Now.
