BIOGRAPHY

The son of Victor Andrews a painter of wildlife and a commercial artist, has travelled extensively and exhibited extensively since the late sixties early seventies. In 1969 he spent six months in Malawi, he then lived in the Okavango Swamps for two years. In the following years he travelled further a field to the Indian Ocean Islands, Japan, Taiwan, Brazil and Australia. He has also made more frequent visits to Nepal, India and Sri Lanka. He won a Bronze Medal at Carpi, Italy 1972. In 1973 he illustrated Xironga Folk Tales, published by the University of South Africa for whom he also worked as a tutor from 1978-1979. 1973-1974 he lectured graphics at the University of Pretoria. He has participated in several group exhibitions around the world.

Since 1964 he has exhibited in South Africa, Canada, Brazil, Italy, Japan, Austria, Spain, Israel, USA, Belgium, Australia, France, Zimbabwe, Germany and Switzerland. In 1967 he had his first several solo exhibitions in South Africa. He has also had two solo exhibitions at the National Museum in Botswana, in 1970 and 1972 respectively.
